Important Information Before the Conference: Presentations, Break Activities, and More

We are excited to welcome you to our upcoming conference in just a few days!☀️

As a final reminder, we kindly request that all presenters send their presentations to their assigned chair person one day before your session to ensure smooth and timely delivery of sessions.

In addition to the presentation submissions, we would like to inform you about the meals that will be provided during the conference. Breakfast will be served in Taivas, lunch will be served in Ämmilä. Dinner will be served in Ämmilä on the 18^th and 19^th, and at Break Sokos Hotel on the 20^th of April. Fruits, tea, and coffee will also be provided during the morning sessions from the 19^th to the 21^st of April.

Furthermore, we would like to invite you to a welcome reception on the evening of the 18^th. The reception will feature Lappish wraps, a traditional Finnish delicacy, and provide a great opportunity to network.

We encourage you to take advantage of the breaks between 19^th and 20^th of April from 12:00 to 16:00 by booking some activities and mingle within the group to make the most of your stay. Possible break activities are skiing 🏂, hiking 🥾, husky/reindeer safari 🐕‍🦺, or explore the city of Levi 🏙️. Here’s a link compiling several options! If you are interested in some relaxation, we are pleased to announce that our hotel features a pool and sauna. There is room for going to sauna on the evenings of the 18^th and 20^th between 19:30 to 21:00.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner on the 20^th of April, will take place at 19:00 in the Break Sokos Hotel Levi (their Instragram). We will have a buffet with the BIEGGA – WIND menu, including:

Smoked reindeer- soup Lappish cheese salad with cloudberry vinaigrette
Roasted beetroot with chevre Mushroom salad
Cognac –rawspiced salmon Smoked whitefish
Roasted beef with lingonberry-rosemary compote
Smoked reindeer mousse with rye crisps
Bread selection with whipped butter
Fried Arctic char with crayfish sauce
Overnight braised lamb entrecote with dark garlic-sauce
Roasted honey roots & potatoes
Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream
Chocolate sweets
Coffee and tea

The buffet will cost 60€ p.P., keep your receipts for reimbursement.

Excited to announce our upcoming retreat at the Hullu Poro Hotel in Levi, Finland! This modern and cozy venue is the perfect place for our three workgroups (Tkatchenko, Rinke and Todorović) to come together, bond, and get some work done.
