We're honest about what the OS allows. On most CLIs, ShellJolt sets a real memory ceiling. On Claude Code, macOS gives no safe way to hard-cap memory, so there it sizes a budget and warns you early instead. We never claim a cap we can't deliver.

How many Macs does a membership cover?
Founding ($5 one-time) covers one Mac for life. The yearly tiers (Stakeholders and The Collective) cover up to 3 of your Macs, which you add or remove from your account anytime. There's no separate login: your membership is a signed license saved on each Mac and verified offline. Billing is by Stripe, and you can cancel anytime.
I have an activation code. How do I use it?
Run curl -fsSL https://shelljolt.com/install | TSP_CODE=<your-code> sh (replace <your-code> with the code you were given). It activates full access on your Mac instantly. Codes give comped or time-limited access, and any expiry is shown with the code.
Why does Claude Code freeze my Mac?
Long or multi-session agent runs steadily grow their memory footprint. On a Mac with limited RAM, a few sessions can exhaust memory and swap, and the whole system stalls. ShellJolt watches that footprint and warns you before it gets there.
Can ShellJolt cap Claude Code's memory?
On Claude Code, macOS gives no safe way to hard-limit memory, so ShellJolt sizes a budget for it and warns you early, before it freezes your Mac. On most other CLIs it can set a real, hard memory ceiling. We're honest about which is which, and we never claim a cap we can't deliver.
