FigmaTraining is closed. Here's the story, and the new thing I built next.

Before we dive in, let me share what FigmaTraining was, and the exciting shift that's been happening over this past year.

For six years, FigmaTraining was a thriving little business, with thousands of students and steady sales. Then, over roughly eighteen months, the way people learn design changed for good.

I'll be direct about it, because it's no mystery: AI has transformed how-to learning. It's a shift the whole industry is navigating.

When I first launched FigmaTraining, a course was the best way to get answers to design questions. In 2026, the best answer is AI-assisted learning.

By 2025, that shift had run its course for the classic model, so I made the deliberate call to retire FigmaTraining as a standalone course business and put my energy into what comes next. I wound it down carefully and responsibly, with months of notice and continued access for former students (per the October 2025 email).

I'm grateful to everyone who has learned through the FigmaTraining courses. The courses are still yours if you bought them in the past, and everything you need to access them is below.

For course students: login, certificates, and access

You can still log in to view your course content with your previous credentials, using the Student login button at the top right (or below). New certificates cannot be generated unless you completed the course before January 28, 2026. See the certificate notes below.

Access is read-only and provided for previous students only.
Certificates
If you completed the course before the January 28, 2026 closure:
- Your certificate URL has changed to:
  https://figmacourse.thinkific.com/certificates/YOUR-CERTIFICATE-NUMBER
  (Replace YOUR-CERTIFICATE-NUMBER with your original certificate ID, which is the same number.)
- Don't know your certificate number and need your digital certificate? As long as you completed the course before the January 28, 2026 announcement deadline, your certificate was generated. Log in and follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to your student dashboard
  2. Click your name at the top right
  3. In the dropdown menu, click "My Account"
  4. Click "Certificates"
  5. Click "View"
- Certificate format: This is the only certificate format we offer after the closure. If you need another format, you're welcome to take a screenshot of your certificate and convert it to any format of your choice.
- Note: Your PDF certificate was available for download during the 3-month notice period. If you lost your PDF version, you're authorized to follow the steps above, take a screenshot of your digital certificate, and ask ChatGPT to generate a PDF version.
If you did not complete or retrieve your certificate before the January 28, 2026 closure:
- New certificates cannot be generated or re-issued. Here is an alternative:
- Solution: List "FigmaTraining by SaaS Design (completed [year])" on your CV or LinkedIn. You may absolutely reference the course and provider name.
Support discontinued: Since the course business is closed, as per the closure announcement email, we are no longer able to offer support, troubleshooting, or course assistance.
Course access may be removed if the hosting platform retires.
