Feeding Epic Days & Wilder Lives

About us

Kodiak is one of the fastest growing food companies that is disrupting the industry with its better-for-you breakfast and snacking options. Our journey with food began by restoring the tradition of whole grain flapjacks and adding some protein to fuel folks' adventures. In the process, we discovered that foods made closer to nature are not only fueling but taste better. So, we set out to inspire wilder, wide-open lives by feeding epic days through real breakfasts. That’s one of the reasons we’re in the scenic Rocky Mountains of Park City, Utah: to live our purpose and be close to nature. Our mission is to become the most loved, next generation food brand, and we’re well on our way. We’re expanding rapidly as our business continues to grow year-after-year and need to build our team with people that share our passion for the outdoors, bring industry experience, thrive in an entrepreneurial culture, and want to make an impact in the food space. We believe that eating real, good-for-you food, being active outdoors, and preserving nature will restore balance generations before us worked so hard to forge. We embrace the spirit of the Kodiak – a pristine wilderness with a rich ecosystem – and we rely on that spirit of the Kodiak to inspire the work we do, the food we eat, and the way we play. Our roles feature highly competitive salary, generous benefits, a fun and open culture, all-you-can-eat flapjacks, and a unique set of perks tailored to those who love the outdoors and live the Kodiak Code. • Recognition like this reinforces why we keep innovating. We're proud to share that Kodiak's Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Overnight Oats has been recognized as a winner in the EatingWell 2026 Food Awards, where editors and registered dietitians tasted hundreds of new products to identify the year's standouts. When we launched Overnight Oats earlier this year, our goal was simple: create a convenient breakfast that delivers on both nutrition and flavor. Made with 100% whole grain oats and packed with 20g of protein, Kodiak Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Overnight Oats proves you don't have to compromise taste to fuel your day. We're grateful to the team at EatingWell for this recognition and even more excited to continue expanding our portfolio with products that make it easier for consumers to fuel every adventure. • Lace up those hiking boots, folks. Each month, we spotlight a member of our team who is getting out of the bear den and immersing themselves in an epic adventure. With summer in full swing, it’s a magical time to get out and explore the great outdoors... some might even say enchanting...    Join us in roaring for Jenna Dougherty from our Sales team, and her latest adventure: Kodiak Question: Where did your adventure take place, and what inspired it?  Jenna’s Answer: My epic adventure took place in The Enchantments, an alpine region in Washington State. I've collected a few too many leg injuries over the years, and I wanted to prove to myself that six or seven titanium screws in my legs couldn't keep me from taking on such a fun challenge!    Q: What made this trip feel “epic” to you?  A: Climbing Aasgard Pass was an epic challenge. We gained 2,200 feet of elevation in a single mile, dodging mountain goats and scrambling on all fours at times because of the strong wind gusts and the weight of our heavy packs. After hours of climbing, we finally reached the top and made our way through the snow-covered lakes of the Core Enchantments.  Q: What was the most memorable moment (planned or unplanned)?  A: Near Inspiration Lake, I tried to carefully make my way down a snowy slope, but instead I slid the entire way down like an unintentional luge racer. I laughed hysterically the whole time. It may not have been the most graceful descent, but it was definitely the most efficient—even if I ended up a little damp. Q: What fueled you through the adventure (mentally or physically)?  A: Physically, I was fueled by Kodiak PEAK Oatmeal and Kodiak Bars! Every morning started with a warm bowl of oatmeal before the sun came up, and we snacked on Kodiak Bars all day long. It's become an unspoken rule that I have to bring all the new Kodiak snacks on our adventures. The Enchantments truly lived up to their name. Between the breathtaking alpine views, crystal-clear lakes, and rare moments of complete solitude, every mile was worth it. It's an adventure I'll never forget and one I'm incredibly proud to have completed. Jenna's story is a reminder of what fuels us at Kodiak. Whether you're backpacking through the mountains, heading out for an early morning hike, or chasing your next adventure, we're here to help fuel the memories you'll be talking about long after the trail ends. Thanks for sharing your adventure with the pack, Jenna!

  • We don’t just talk about living epic—we go do it. And our Social Content Manager, Alex Kereszti, is no exception.     As we highlight one Kodiak employee each month and feature their latest adventure outside of the Bear Den, Alex’s adventure doesn’t fall short of grand. Speaking of grand...    Kodiak Question: Where did your adventure take place, and what inspired it?  Alex’s Answer: My adventure took place rafting in the Grand Canyon. I’d never rafted before, but when a knowledgeable group invited me on a whim, I jumped at the chance. And I have to mention this: my boss was my biggest supporter. He made sure I took the time off and fully embraced this life-changing adventure. I’m incredibly grateful for his encouragement to go on this trip.    Q: What made this trip feel “epic” to you?  A: Every single day was epic. From huge rapids to cliff jumps, canyoneering, and even learning the Grand Canyon’s geological history; it was a world away from everyday life. I got to row some big rapids myself, and that feeling of strength and power—trying something new in such a wild environment—was unforgettable.    Q: What was the most memorable moment (planned or unplanned)?  A: On my second day on the river, my friend asked if I wanted to row a rapid. I started on what is essentially a "semi-truck" of the boat world: an 18-foot “party barge" holding a LOT of weight. He instructed my entrance to the start of the rapid, which went well. Mid-rapid, the oars got sucked down in the water and nearly catapulted me out of the boat. I somehow stayed in, regaining control of the oars and boat and guiding us safely through the rapid. It was both scary and empowering to feel challenged, but strong.    Q: What fueled you through the adventure (mentally or physically)?  A: Physically, Kodiak Bars and even some Kodiak pancake breakfasts. The whole boat crew loved pancakes for breakfast! We also started each morning with some tai chi as a group. Mentally, it was journaling by the river, sleeping on the boat under the stars, and rising with the sun. Being disconnected from the "outside world" for weeks was incredibly grounding.    My adventure rafting the Grand Canyon wasn’t just epic—it was transformative. From the rapids to the canyon walls, I came back feeling stronger and more connected to the world (and myself). And with the support of my team at Kodiak, I had the space to take on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.    Congrats on row, row, rowing your boat down some epic rapids, Alex!

  • Our Homestyle Power Waffles have zero grams of added sugar, but this win tastes pretty sweet. We've been excited about this innovation since day one, and we're thrilled to see it earn this recognition. With 16g of protein, 100% whole grains, no added sugar, and a fluffy-yet-crispy texture, these waffles bring a fresh take to a freezer aisle favorite. • At Kodiak, our products are protein-packed, and our people’s adventures are stacked. It’s no surprise that when a part of our mission is to feed epic days, our employees live epic -- whether it’s a quick workout between meetings, tag-teaming kids soccer practices, or pushing themselves to try something new. And yet, they still never cease to amaze us. This month’s spotlight is no exception. Our epic employee of the month traded a pancake for a puck: give it up for Amber Kirkham, PMP!     Kodiak Question: When did you start playing hockey and what inspired you to try it out?  Amber’s Answer: A year ago. At some point after many years of watching hockey, it just hit me, "I want to do that!” So I waited for an opportunity and when the next Adult Learn to Play program opened, I signed up.     Q: What has been the most rewarding -- or humbling -- part about learning a new sport?  A: The entire experience has been rewarding and humbling. For about an hour every week, I have nothing on my mind but what I’m doing in the moment. It’s an hour just for me, and it’s a fantastic workout. It’s also extremely humbling. I didn’t know how to skate when I started (still barely do) and I know that my intentions are just to show up and try to do better than the previous day. And, yes, there are many little kids out there showing me up.     Q: What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone wanting to pick up a new sport?  A: Do it terrified. Do it when you don’t have the time. Do it knowing you will very likely be terrible. There’s a bunch of reasons not to do it, but if it’s for you and you want to, do it anyway.     Q: What's the best snack to fuel the team?  A: A late night post-game waffle does the trick, but I always have our chocolate granola tossed in my bag or car for a quick refuel. At this point, the team all knows I bring the Kodiak goodies.    Amber’s daughter, Zoe, has also recently picked up the sport after taking interest in her mom’s newfound hobby. We're stoked to see Amber unlock a whole new skillset on the ice and inspire so many around her. Keep it up, Amber!
