web-feature: interest-invokers

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/141.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

This is an implementation bug for this spec PR:

https://github.com/whatwg/html/pull/11006

It describes the "interest invokers" API, which is primarily controlled with a new global attribute, interestfor. There are also related concepts landed in the CSS spec, e.g. here:

https://drafts.csswg.org/css-ui-4/#interest

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::DOM: Core & HTML' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → DOM: Core & HTML
Product: Firefox → Core

This would seem to me to be a close companion to popover="hint", removing the need for JS to activate a hint popover, and I'm a bit surprised that it's unassigned - any movement on this bug?

(I'm looking at you, Mr Cirkel :))
