This is a basic car template project for Rogue Engine using Rapier Physics.

  • This template can be installed in your project directly from the Editor's Marketplace (vehicle-template)

  • It includes a scene with a few colliders, a car ready to drive and a CarFollowCamera component.

  • The car is simply an as-is instance of the prefab included with the Rogue Rapier package.

  • CarFollowCamera was generated in one try using co-pilot with Rogue Engine's MCP.

Instructions

  • Clone this repo.

  • Open the project folder in Rogue Engine.

  • Hit Play and drive!

  • Click on the Main Camera and adjust the settings in the Component's inspector to your liking.

If you click on the car, in the inspector you'll find:

  • A RapierRaycastVehicleController component with property controls where you can adjust the settings of the engine, gear box, etc.

  • Four WheelInfo components with property controls to adjust the grip, breaks slip, etc, for each wheel.

Assets

The Vehicle model is provided by quaternius.com.
