This repository contains all the write-ups for the curricular unit of Computer Security Foundations. These report our solutions to the SEED Labs and CTFs done weekly throughout the semester.
- Although it is important for everyone to know each one of the labs done (since it can appear in the tests), I would debate that its best to parallelize the work by dividing the labs between each member, rather than everyone doing it at the same time (and believe me, the write-ups do take a lot of time to do).
- Normally, the CTFs are related to the labs done in the same week, and it was usual for the CTFs to drop right on Monday. Try to do both as early as possible, and worry about writing the write-ups later.
- For solving the CTFs, you can use any tools you like, but be careful about the resolution you mention in the write-ups. If they hint at some kind of process in Moodle (maybe even a manual one), you can be heavily penalized if you follow another one, even if it is much more efficient. Just do the quick route initially and then do the one they want in the write-ups. You will not suffer penalties and still be able to solve the CTFs faster for the leaderboard.
