@jan--f — implementing #3066 as filed.

Closes #3066.

What changed

Merged the duplicate "First steps" page into the "Getting started" tutorial:

  • docs/tutorials/getting_started.md is now the single walkthrough: existing intro/architecture content kept, and the PromQL walkthrough (expression browser queries, graphing interface) folded in from first_steps.
  • docs/introduction/first_steps.md deleted.
  • netlify.toml: redirect /docs/introduction/first_steps to /docs/tutorials/getting_started.

Why

#3066 (filed by you): the two pages heavily overlapped, and the hands-on PromQL walkthrough only lived on the page being removed. One tutorial, one URL.

How it was verified

  • npm run lint — clean (pre-existing PromMarkdown.tsx unused-vars warning only).
  • No remaining references to first_steps outside the redirect.

Follow-ups (out of scope here)

  • The versioned /docs/prometheus/latest/getting_started page lives in prometheus/prometheus (cross-repo, separate change).

prometheus#3066)

- Problem: docs/introduction/first_steps and docs/tutorials/getting_started heavily overlap; the hands-on PromQL walkthrough (expression browser, graphing) lived only on the page being removed.

- Fix: fold first_steps' walkthrough into getting_started, delete first_steps, and redirect its URL (per jan--f's issue prometheus#3066).

- Verification: npm run lint clean (pre-existing PromMarkdown.tsx warning only); no remaining first_steps references besides the redirect.
