Tap Counter

A minimal, clean counter app for Android. Tap the big green button to count; use −1 to step back or Reset to start over. Supports dark mode automatically.

After installing Android Studio, open it → More Actions → SDK Manager and install:

• Android SDK Platform 34
• Android SDK Build-Tools 34
• Android Emulator

Set environment variables (Windows — add to System Variables):

keytool -genkeypair -v -storetype PKCS12 ^

  -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -validity 10000

You will be prompted for passwords — save them somewhere safe.

Open android/gradle.properties and uncomment + fill in:

MYAPP_UPLOAD_STORE_FILE=tap-counter-upload-key.keystore
MYAPP_UPLOAD_KEY_ALIAS=tap-counter-key-alias
MYAPP_UPLOAD_STORE_PASSWORD=<your_store_password>
MYAPP_UPLOAD_KEY_PASSWORD=<your_key_password>

Never commit gradle.properties with real passwords to git.

cd android
gradlew bundleRelease

Output: android/app/build/outputs/bundle/release/app-release.aab

1. Go to https://play.google.com/console
2. Create a new app → Tap Counter
3. Fill in the store listing (description, screenshots, icon)
4. Upload app-release.aab under Production → Releases
5. Submit for review
