Summary

  • point the API reference header at the repository root instead of an immutable commit subtree
  • preserve revision-specific source links through separate repository and source metadata
  • display a progressively loaded GitHub star count without a third-party badge service
  • cache the public GitHub API response for the browser session and degrade to the normal repository link
