8 years since Douglas Cohen’s Uber ride began at our São Paulo office in Brazil, and there’s still “never a dull moment!” Along the way, he’s tackled complex regulatory challenges, watched the industry evolve up close, and learned from extraordinary teammates across the company. “What really defined this journey was the people. I learned far more from teammates and colleagues across the company than I ever imagined possible, and the best part is that this learning almost always came with plenty of laughs along the way.” Cheers to 8 years, Douglas 🚗 #WhatMovesUs

Sobre nosotros
We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now. The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.

200+ interns. 26 teams. Seven locations. One week to build something bold. For #NationalInternDay, our tech interns took on a week-long hackathon built around four prompts: 🤖 AI-powered rider and earner experiences 🛠️ Tools to make interning or working at Uber better 🔮 A vision for Uber in 2030 ✨ Anything they could imagine Then came the fun part: building, testing, breaking, rebuilding, and pitching their work to a panel of Uber VPs. Five teams took home awards across categories including best storytelling, most delightful experience, and best technical build 🏆 Because an internship at Uber isn’t a “sit back and observe” kind of experience. You get into the work, make your case, and build something that could shape what comes next. #uBecome #WhatMovesUs

Dr. Mikaela de Villiers and Guy Vancans, Uber Eats account management, and Cristina Lupusor, Courier Ops, came together with one shared goal: better understand the courier experience and what it takes to keep the marketplace moving. On a busy Friday afternoon, Uber account managers from our London office put on their Uber Eats jackets and stepped into the courier role themselves, fulfilling orders firsthand and seeing the experience from a different angle. Experience builds empathy. Empathy improves decisions. Better decisions improve the marketplace. #WhatMovesUS
