I Got Working RCS Messaging
I got what I asked for. So why write a followup?
Because there’s more to the story. Sometimes you knock on doors with problems you know a department can handle and getting someone with authority to send it to that department gets it fixed (Here’s my story of it happening years ago with Comcast: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46020641).
But this wasn’t that kind of time. I knew going into this that it was not a carrier problem, it probably wasn’t hardware, and that the most likely culprits were an Apple iOS bug or Google’s Jibe service. But I’ve found more wrong on Apple’s end since then and I want to put the information out there in case others hit it.
